A Message from Senate Majority Leader Dean G. Skelos

Dear Friends:

I am pleased to announce that the New York State Senate will be hosting the first-ever Unidad Latina Legislative Conference -- a major event that will be held in partnership with the Hispanic Federation and other leaders of New York's vital and growing Hispanic community.

This two day conference, which will bring together hundreds of distinguished civic and business leaders from across our State to discuss the needs, challenges and aspirations of the Hispanic community, will take place on Friday, October 21st and Saturday, October 22nd 2011 at the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers in Manhattan.

A principle goal of the Unidad Latina Legislative Conference is to promote increased economic opportunities for Hispanic New Yorkers. To that end, the conference will feature policy workshops, networking receptions, and presentations featuring speakers of local and national prominence.

I am truly looking forward to this important event, which is yet another clear reflection of the vital and growing role that the Hispanic American community plays here in New York State and throughout the nation.
